George Hargrave, a native Oklahoman was born in Shawnee Oklahoma.
He is a graduate of two high schools, Kingman Arizona at age 16, and Wewoka High School in Oklahoma.
Graduate of East Central College, and obtained his Juris Doctors degree from the University of Tulsa.
He served his country in the U.S military (Army) in WWII and in Korea.
As an attorney he was in private practice in Tulsa when he was elected Representative and subsequently Senator for Oklahoma. He later resigned his elected position as Senator to take the bench appointment.
As Senator of Oklahoma, George Hargrave brought an heroic WWII USS Batfish submarine to the middle of the United States. An endeavor that was nearly impossible, saving it from destruction.
